Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced R&D Senior Engineer with strong expertise in Medium-Voltage (MV) electrical products, preferably MV Reclosers or overhead distribution equipment. The engineer will be responsible for product design, development, testing, reliability, root-cause analysis, and technical problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Medium-Voltage electrical equipment, preferably MV Reclosers.
• Collaborate with global engineering and manufacturing teams to develop and improve products.
• Lead root-cause analysis, design reviews, reliability engineering, and product improvements.
• Support product testing, validation, and certification activities.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NEMA, UL, and CSA standards.
• Apply electrical, thermal, dielectric, and structural analysis/simulation techniques where required.
• Document engineering designs, findings, test results, and technical solutions.
• Contribute to innovation, intellectual property development, and project technical strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8 years of experience in electrical power equipment/product development.
• Experience with MV Reclosers, Circuit Breakers, Switchgear, MV Switches, Contactors, or Outdoor Overhead Distribution products.
• Strong experience in MV electrical product design and development.
• Working knowledge of IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NEMA, UL, or CSA standards.
• Experience with RCA, design reviews, testing, validation, or reliability engineering.

Preferred

• Experience with IEEE C37.60 and/or IEC 62271-111.
• Experience with dielectric, thermal, or structural simulation.
• Experience supporting UL, CSA, or IEC certification.
• MV Recloser or overhead MV distribution product experience.
