FRA Documentation Quality Assurance Analyst

Location- Washington, DC (once in a month)

Job Description
There is currently a documented gap in formal policies, procedures, and quality assurance processes for documentation required to be submitted to the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).

Establishing this role will ensure the development and maintenance of compliant documentation standards, strengthen quality assurance practices, and support sustained regulatory compliance.

Additionally, this position will help streamline the review process and reduce approval timelines with the FRA.

Is direct experience with FRA documentation and regulatory submissions a requirement for the role, or would you consider candidates with strong documentation governance, quality assurance, and compliance experience from other highly regulated industries?

Strong documentation governance(and writing), quality assurance, and compliance experience is preferred, This role will be more of a QA of documentation and writing of policies already in place, that just need to be documented and distributed.

1. What specific FRA documentation will this individual be responsible for creating, reviewing, managing, or governing? They would be helping other project managers with the correct way to write SOW's, and also doing QA on the documents already written
2. Is the primary objective of this role to develop and establish policies, procedures, and quality assurance processes, or to enforce, audit, and maintain compliance with existing standards? They will not develop any policies, but document those in place or get created, then do some QA on existing documents to ensure those procedures are met
3. What are the primary challenges or pain points currently contributing to delays in FRA reviews or approvals? Some of the errors in the documents, could be as simple as spelling or date errors, this is where a good QA is needed on those SOWs.
4. When evaluating candidates, how would you prioritize the following areas of expertise:
   • Project Management
   • FRA regulatory documentation and compliance
   • Policy and procedure development
   • Quality assurance and governance

Salary : $40 - $60
