Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Biller and Authorizations to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the billing and coding processes to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for medical services provided. Authorizations for patients to complete their care. Your expertise will help streamline revenue cycle operations and support the overall financial health of our practice. You will be a vital part of a team to ensure proper medical billing and authorizations for patients and for the business to thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure accurate coding, posting and billing.
- Assign appropriate medical codes using ICD-10.
- Accurate Data Entry of all client/patient information.
- Post Payments from all 3rd party payers & Self Pay Clients, Follow-up on Missed. Payments, also resolve any payment discrepancies.
- Access Insurance Portals and clearinghouse platform to pull or review EOBs.
- Handle all balance calls from Clients & Front desk regarding Billing Inquiries.
- Submit, Collect and Review referrals/Authorizations.
- Insurance Verification/Eligibility.
- Process Rejected Claims from all platforms, correct for re-submission.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing issues.
- Analyze and work Aging Accounts Receivable Reports.
- Resolve All Billing Issues and disputes by contacting insurance companies.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years' experience as a medical biller or similar role.
- Solid Knowledge and understanding of Billing Concepts, ICD-10, Medical Terminology and Electronic Medical Records. Ability to read and work with EOBs.
- Familiar with Referrals and Authorizations.
- Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office -Excel and Word, understanding of EMR/EHR systems.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Work as a team.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
