Job Description Job Functions: Production Operators will be assigned to one of two responsibilities: mix techs or machine operators. Mix Techs have the responsibility of coordinating and mixing of raw materials that make each of our products. Machine Operators are responsible for taking the batches of mixed materials and processing it through the machines that make the final products which are sent to CSP’s customers. Production Operators will establish and maintain constructive relationships with team members and other management personnel in an ethical manner and following the rules / guidelines in a consistent manner. Operators will assist with troubleshooting work related problems by trying to identify the source of the problem, applying personal experience, interaction with peers, supervision, or engineering to help resolve issues. Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by wearing appropriate garments/equipment and notify Supervision of any unsafe actions, equipment, injury, or near misses. Communicates with Supervision any processes that are not functioning properly, supplies needed, additional support needed for start-ups or repairs to ensure activities are conducted in a timely manner. Relieve team members for breaks and cover absenteeism/vacations of team members. Suggests improvements in work methods and procedures by brainstorming with others to develop alternatives. Ensure proper fiberglass is set up and maintained according to schedule. Efficiently change fiberglass at change over to minimize downtime. Completes Preventative Maintenance and TPM requirements. Production operators will be required to be trained and certified on forklift. Qualifications - External Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively. Ability to utilize basic mathematics including calculating percentages. Forklift Certification – Training will offered by company.
