TEGNA is looking for an Inside Sales Executive based at WFAA in Dallas to join a growing, centralized team focused on the future of media.
In this role, you’ll drive revenue within the SMB (Small and Medium Business) space by leveraging TEGNA’s full suite of solutions, including linear TV, streaming (OTT), and digital products like targeted display and pre-roll. This is a closing-focused role designed for someone who wants to spend their time converting qualified leads into long-term clients, not cold prospecting.

Close New Business

Responsibilities
Close New Business
- Convert qualified leads from SDRs, inbound inquiries, and marketing campaigns into clients
- Focus on moving opportunities forward and closing deals
- Use a mix of digital and broadcast solutions to meet client needs
- Keep things simple and focused on what will drive results for the client
- Use Salesforce to manage a high-volume pipeline
- Stay organized and keep forecasts accurate
- Work closely with Account Management to ensure campaigns are set up and executed correctly
- Keep communication clear and aligned throughout the process
- Bring back feedback from clients to help shape offerings and sales approach
- Show up professionally and build credibility with clients in every interaction
- 1–3 years of experience in media, advertising, or tech sales
- Experience in inside sales or closing roles preferred
- Understanding of digital advertising (streaming/OTT, social, or search)
- Linear TV knowledge is a plus, not required
- Track record of hitting or exceeding sales goals
- Experience selling to or working with small to medium-sized businesses preferred
- Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Office
- Able to stay organized and manage multiple opportunities at once
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Comfortable pitching over phone or video
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
- A growing, centralized team building a scalable sales model
- A steady flow of qualified leads from SDRs and marketing
- Base salary plus uncapped commission
