About the Role:
TEG Construction is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our growing Estimating Department. This position will work directly with our estimating team under the leadership of our Head Estimator.
The Construction Estimator will play a critical role in the pre-construction process by reviewing plans, performing quantity takeoffs, organizing bid packages, obtaining vendor and subcontractor pricing, and assisting in the preparation of accurate project estimates. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and estimating practices for both commercial and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP construction plans and specifications.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam Revu and other estimating software.
- Prepare and organize estimate packages for budgeting, bidding, and pre-construction purposes.
- Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor and supplier proposals.
- Analyze labor, material, equipment, and productivity costs to develop accurate project estimates.
- Develop material takeoffs and assist with material procurement and ordering.
- Coordinate with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients throughout the estimating process.
- Assist in preparing project budgets, proposals, bid submissions, and cost analyses.
- Support purchasing and buyout activities to help optimize project budgets.
- Conduct site visits as needed to assess existing conditions and gather information for estimating purposes.
- Maintain organized estimating files, cost databases, vendor information, and project documentation.
- Support the estimating department in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and estimating/takeoff software.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, sequencing, and cost estimating practices.
- Experience obtaining and analyzing vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with commercial and/or residential construction projects.
- Familiarity with Buildertrend, Procore, PlanSwift, or similar construction management software is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work full-time in our Coral Springs office.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
