Teff Stamford is a vibrant Eritrean-Ethiopian restaurant situated in the heart of downtown Stamford that has been open since July 2015. We pride ourselves on accommodating gluten-free, nut-free, and vegan/vegetarian diners, offering a unique and inclusive dining experience as well as providing exceptional and memorable service.
Teff is open Wednesday through Saturday, 5:00pm to 10:00pm and Sunday from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.
**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in creating classic cocktails and executing a craft-cocktail menu curated by our mixologist on retainer. As a bartender at Teff Stamford, you will ensure quality assurance and efficient bar management, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This job is perfect as a second-job.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and serve classic cocktails and craft cocktails with precision and consitency.
- Maintain a high level of quality assurance and efficient bar operations.
- Conduct prep work, including garnishes and syrups, to ensure smooth service.
- Possess extensive knowledge of our wine and spirits program.
- Educate and train service staff on our wine and spirits offerings.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
**Schedule:**
- Would be scheduled to work within the following: Wednesday to Saturday: 4:30 PM to 10:30/11:00 PM; Sunday: 4:30 PM to 10:00/10:30 PM
- Hours may increase with future events
- Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and lunch service is not offered.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a bartender, with a focus on craft cocktails.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, and spirits.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Passion for mixology and continuous learning.
