Entry Level Laboratory Technician

Teeth by Heath is a family owned and operated dental lab that’s served dental practices throughout Wisconsin for over two decades, crafting restorative fixtures, such as crowns and bridges, so patients can add beauty and function back in their smile.

Our tight knit team is growing and looking to add another member to keep up with growing demand. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join us as a Dental Lab Technician. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in learning a specialized trade and building a long-term career in the dental lab industry.

The position will involve a combination of computer based as well as hands-on laboratory work. Previous dental lab experience is not required. We provide on-the-job training and will teach you the skills and processes needed to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Scan dental models using laboratory scanning equipment
• Work with digital case files and dental laboratory software
• Pour plaster into molds to create models of patient’s teeth
• Learn proper dental anatomy
• Use precision grinding equipment to shape plaster models and final restorations
• Use surface stains to recreate characteristics natural dentition
• Design patient specific restorations using CAD/CAM software
• Inspect models, scans, and completed work for accuracy
• Maintain equipment, tools, and a clean and organized work area
• Work efficiently to meet daily production schedules and quality standards
• Learn and perform additional laboratory procedures as skills develop and as assigned

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
• Comfort using computers and willingness to learn new technology
• Good organizational skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
• A dependable, responsible, and positive attitude
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to work in a detail-oriented production environment
• Experience in any of the following is a plus, but not required:
• Dental
• CAD/CAM or digital technology
• Computer or technical work
• Arts, crafts, jewelry, model making, or other detailed hands-on work
