Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our production team. Duties
- Perform mild steel MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), on diverse metal parts, including sheet metal and pipe components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble parts according to specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
- Measure materials with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure accuracy in fabrication processes.
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks on-site or in the manufacturing area.
- Conduct routine inspections of welds and fabricated parts to verify quality standards using visual checks and testing methods aligned with ASME codes & standards.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with machinery such as pipe threading tools, machining centers, or ductwork fabrication equipment.
- Assist with assembly of fabricated components into larger systems or structures as required by project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety regulations related to construction site experience and manufacturing environments.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, within a manufacturing or construction setting.
- Hands-on knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical drawings is essential.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, CNC plasma cutting, and press brake operations is highly desirable.
- Prior construction site experience is a plus; candidates should be comfortable working in active environments requiring rigging and crane operation.
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and schematics efficiently for precise fabrication tasks.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding and fabrication practices ensures compliance with industry safety regulations.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in machining or soldering enhances versatility within the role.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
