Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to correctional patients in Wisconsin facilities
Assess patient condition and document vitals, symptoms, and changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
Monitor and respond to emergencies or rapid changes in patient status
Ensure accurate charting and maintain confidential patient records
Collaborate with physicians, mental health staff, and security as required
Uphold safety and security protocols within correctional facilities
Coordinate patient care plans and follow up on treatment progress
Participate in team meetings, performance reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
Adhere to contractual terms, schedule, and on-site weekly pay requirements
Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure proper storage
Experience/Qualifications
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Wisconsin with active state license
Experience providing direct nursing care in corrections or secure facilities
Ability to administer medications and document in electronic health records
Strong vital signs assessment and rapid response to emergencies
Ability to follow safety and security protocols within correctional facilities
Proficiency with confidential charting and HIPAA/compliance standards
Collaborative mindset to work with physicians, mental health staff, and security
Experience coordinating care plans and documenting treatment progress
Accurate inventory management of medical supplies and proper storage
Willingness to work on-site at Wisconsin locations with weekly pay cadence
