Part-Time Retail Sales Associate

Tee Shirt University is looking for a part-time sales associate. Normal shifts are from 3pm-8pm M-Th and 3pm-9pm Fri and Sat, and 10-6 On Sundays. Located in the Galleria Mall. Perfect for college students or people with a primary job. We are able to schedule you based on the days that you are available. Very accommodating when it comes to building a schedule that works for you.

Job Description:
Tee Shirt University is a sports apparel store located at the Walden Galleria Mall, featuring T shirts and sweatshirts for the NCAA, NFL, NHL, MLB and NBA.

We are looking for a result-driven retail Sales Associate to be responsible for all retail sales job duties, from generating sales on the selling floor to opening and closing the store. Sales Associate duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions. All staff members will be taught and will be responsible for opening and closing the store, counting the drawer and making deposits as well as prepping merchandise for the sales floor. As a Sales associate, you should maintain our store’s visual appearance in high standards when closing down the store and achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals. associates receive a 2% Sales commission on top of their hourly wage. Normal Shifts are from 3pm-8pm Monday - Thursday, and 3-9 Friday and Saturday and varying shifts on the weekends. Applicants should be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features
Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
Maintain in-stock and presentable condition on the selling floor
Actively seek out customers in store
Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
Process POS (point of sale) purchases
Handle returns of merchandise
Comply with inventory control and asset protect procedures
Skills
Proven work experience as a Retail Sales associate, Sales representative or similar role
Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
Basic Math skills
Hardworking and reliable
Track record of good job performance
A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
High school degree
