Automatic Pedestrian Door Technician/Installer
The responsibilities of the service technician will include but are not limited to the following: Install and service all types of automatic/manual pedestrian doors and assemblies.
Job Duties
- 7:00 AM Start unless otherwise instructed
- Check in at all jobs with contact person or Job Supervisor
- Wear proper PPE at all time-Gloves, glasses, hard harts, work boots etc
- Review daily safety checks with customers as needed-apply new decals as needed
- Verify service ticket information matches actual field conditions and correct as needed
- Service and repair door as needed
- Call manager if any additional parts are needed for customer
- All doors need to meet AAADM standards, Note on ticket if not able to meet standard and why
- Completely fill out tickets and get signatures and printed name from customer before progressing with work or leaving
- For quotes-take pictures as needed and speak with manager
- Ensure equipment for job is complete and correct before starting job or leaving shop
- Use phone app to properly punch in and out of jobs
- Follow dispatched schedule in order unless other wised cleared by manager
- Report personal injuries and vehicle accidents to Manager immediately-notify police if necessary for accidents
- Keep van organized/clean with parts properly stored for safety and productivity
- Maintain proper inventory on van per inventory list-replenish stock as needed
Job Requirements

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude
- Self motivated
- Works wells independently or with others
- Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching and standing/sitting for long periods of time
- Must be able to climb and stand on a ladder for extended periods of time
- Fine motor skills for wiring, adjusting controls and use of power tools and small hand tools
- Excellent communication skills
- Lift and carry 75 pounds for 20 feet and 40 pounds over head for 15 seconds
- Must maintain Union credentials as required
- Must possess a valid drivers license and able to operate a van and trailer combination
- Successfully pass drug test and MVR
