Job Description

The Tee Box Golf Coach is an independent coaching professional who utilizes Tee Box’s premium indoor golf training environment to coach and develop their existing network of students.

We are looking for an established golf coach with a strong and active student base who is seeking a professional, technology-driven facility where they can grow their coaching business and provide their students with a best-in-class training experience.

This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity rather than a traditional employment position. The Golf Coach will maintain independence over their coaching methodology and student relationships while utilizing Tee Box’s facilities, technology, and training environment to deliver high-quality golf instruction.

Core Responsibilities

Coaching & Player Development

• Provide professional golf instruction to the coach’s existing and growing network of students at Tee Box.
• Deliver individualized coaching based on each golfer’s goals, ability level, and development needs.
• Develop and manage coaching plans addressing technical development, practice structure, and overall golf performance.
• Utilize available Tee Box technology and performance data to enhance coaching sessions and player development.
• Maintain strong, long-term relationships with students and provide a consistently professional coaching experience.
• Independently manage coaching methodology and recommendations based on the coach’s professional experience and expertise.

Student Network & Business Development

• Bring an established network and active book of students to coach at Tee Box.
• Actively transition appropriate indoor coaching and training sessions to the Tee Box facility.
• Continue developing and growing an independent student base through the coach’s professional network, referrals, and reputation.
• Introduce students to the Tee Box environment and the benefits of year-round, technology-driven golf training.
• Maintain responsibility for developing and managing the coach’s individual coaching business and student relationships.
• Collaborate with Tee Box when appropriate on opportunities that create value for both the coach and the Tee Box community.

Tee Box Facility & Technology

• Utilize Tee Box’s Trackman simulator technology and training environment to enhance the student coaching experience.
• Maintain proficiency with the technology and equipment used during coaching sessions.
• Ensure students use Tee Box facilities, simulators, and equipment appropriately.
• Maintain a professional training environment and respect Tee Box facility standards and policies.
• Promptly communicate any equipment, technology, or facility issues encountered during coaching sessions.

Professional & Community Expectations

• Represent themselves and Tee Box professionally while coaching within the facility.
• Provide a welcoming, positive, and performance-focused experience for students.
• Respect Tee Box members, staff, other coaches, and facility operations.
• Follow applicable facility policies, scheduling procedures, safety requirements, and codes of conduct.
• Maintain confidentiality of student, business, and proprietary information as appropriate.
• Operate with the professionalism expected of an independent golf instruction business utilizing the Tee Box facility.

Requirements

• Established golf coach with a demonstrated history of golf instruction and player development.
• Existing and active network of golf students is strongly preferred and is a key component of this opportunity.
• PGA Member, PGA Associate, or equivalent professional golf coaching certification preferred.
• TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Certification preferred.
• Experience utilizing launch monitor technology; Trackman experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to interpret golf performance data and translate it into clear, actionable coaching.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build long-term student relationships.
• Strong professional reputation within the local golf community.
• Ability to independently manage coaching schedules and student relationships.
• Commitment to delivering a high-quality, professional coaching experience.
• Passion for golf performance, player development, and continuous learning.

Independent Contractor Relationship

This position is structured as an independent contractor (1099) coaching opportunity and is not a traditional W-2 employment position.

The Golf Coach operates as an independent coaching professional and maintains responsibility for their own coaching business, student relationships, coaching methodology, scheduling, and applicable business and tax obligations.

Tee Box provides access to a premium indoor golf training environment and technology that allows the coach to provide year-round instruction to their students.

Specific facility access, scheduling procedures, coaching fees, revenue arrangements, and other terms will be established through a separate independent contractor agreement.
