Position Summary:
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all production operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability. This role emphasizes leadership in production planning, process optimization, and continuous improvement, while maintaining strict compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Essential Duties:
Production Leadership:
Direct and coordinate daily plant operations to achieve production targets, cost efficiency, and quality standards.
Develop and implement production schedules and resource allocation plans.
Monitor plant KPIs such as yield, throughput, downtime, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all departments.
Oversee training programs to maintain operator safety and chemical handling standards.
Process & Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains.
Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar initiatives.
Implement best practices in chemical production and process control.
People Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors, operators, and technical staff.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Drive performance management, workforce planning, and skills development.
Strategic & Financial Oversight:
Manage plant budget, operating costs, and capital expenditures.
Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term capacity planning and investment strategies.
Support business growth initiatives through efficient production scale-up.
Other duties as assigned.

0 OSHA recordables accidents
90% schedule attainment, with a continuous improving trend
0% overspend against department budget (except in critical scenarios where equipment requires replacement or business trends causes increased demand for labor or materials)
< 2% bulk failures
98% RFT for Fillers
90% RFT for Operators (includes resample rate)
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position will manage the Production Manager, Logistics & Warehouse Manager, Sr. EHS Engineer, Engineering Manager, Process Development Manager, Production Planner
and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of these employees.
Required Education and Experience:
Chemical Engineering Degree
8-10 years of experience in chemical or process manufacturing
5 years demonstrated management experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
MBA is highly desired

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Some of the work will require exposure to loud noises or fumes in the plant facility.
The physical demands of this job require employees to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
