Responsibilities
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Provide attentive care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Follow mandated reporting laws by documenting incidents or concerns related to child safety or well-being
- Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive conduct and resolve conflicts effectively
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by maintaining a clean environment and practicing first aid procedures when necessary
Qualifications
- Experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Demonstrated experience in childcare settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, or nannying roles
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is highly valued
- Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively
- Ability to manage behavior positively while fostering a supportive environment
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Passion for teaching young children through creative activity planning and nurturing care
