Teddy Bears Learning Center is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Lead VPK Teacher to join our team!
As our Lead VPK Teacher, you'll play a vital role in providing a high-quality early learning experience that supports each child's academic, social, and emotional development in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Implementing the Lillo Curriculum, which is fully prepared and provided each month, making lesson planning simple and allowing you to focus on teaching and engaging with your students.
- Delivering daily lessons aligned with the Florida VPK Standards.
- Creating a positive, structured, and welcoming classroom environment where every child can thrive.
- Monitoring and documenting children's progress through observations and assessments.
- Building strong relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
- Managing classroom routines and encouraging positive behavior through respectful guidance.
- Communicating regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and development.
- Working collaboratively with administration and staff to ensure the highest quality of care and education.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening.
- Must meet Florida VPK Lead Teacher requirements (Florida Staff Credential, FCCPC, CDA, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, as applicable).
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, professional, patient, and nurturing.
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and preparing children for kindergarten.
- Previous experience teaching in a VPK classroom is preferred.
