POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Hialeah, FL, on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on role working directly in support of the Controller, with day-to-day responsibility across core accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, order entry, month-end closing transactions, internal controls, and inventory. The ideal candidate has solid Sage 100 experience, is comfortable navigating multiple modules independently, and is ready to contribute from day one in a fast-paced operational environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions with accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain inventory records and support inventory reconciliation processes
• Navigate and work within Sage 100 AR/AP, reporting, and inventory modules daily
• Conduct account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
• Support the Controller with weekly/monthly financial package preparation and analysis
• Manage and execute data imports into Sage 100 using the Sage 100 Integrator
• Utilize Excel for reporting, data analysis, and process documentation
• Assist with import/export process documentation as it relates to Sage workflows
• Assist with preparing monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP, account reconciliations, and various financial and operational ad hoc reports for managerial purposes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 1–2 years of experience in public accounting, or 3–5 years of experience as a staff accountant in a distribution or manufacturing environment with Sage 100 exposure
• Hands-on experience with Sage 100 — AR/AP, Inventory, and production modules required
• Experience managing master data in Sage 100 and Scan Force – Customer, Supplier, Chart of Accounts, Cost Centers, Item Number, Location Management.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, data management)
• Solid understanding of month-end closing processes
• Familiarity with bank reconciliation and account reconciliation processes
• Experience managing the order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes.
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory records within an accounting system
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in a distribution, manufacturing, or import/export environment
• Familiarity with financial statement preparation support (income statement, balance sheet) and building a financial reporting package
• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Familiarity with Sage 100 Integrator for data imports
