Sr. Accounting Manager
Our client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed organization with revenues of $2B . They are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead a segment of the accounting and reporting function as the company continues to grow. The Sr. Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations, the monthly close, ensure contracts are correctly interpreted and applied in the accounting, and evolve processes and controls to support the continued growth of the company. This role will lead a team of 8-10 (direct and indirect reports).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly close and reporting cycle, meeting all deadlines
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls and processes as the company grows.
- Coordinate audit schedules and support requests for the annual financial statement audit
- Partner with various functions across the organization including divisional controllers, operations, and legal, on accounting and reporting needs
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation of accounting workflows
- Manage daily team activities, and coach, develop, and evaluate staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including people management
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience in a high-growth environment, improving processes for scale and efficiency
- Ability to explain complex calculations clearly to various stakeholders, both internal and external
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to juggle competing deadlines
- Proven ability to mentor a team and keep it accountable and on track
