- Document inspection results and provide recommendations for necessary repairs or maintenance
- Communicate inspection findings to vehicle owners and explain any necessary next steps
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and ensure compliance with all regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State certification as a Vehicle State & Emissions Inspector
- Prior experience in vehicle inspections or automotive repair
- Strong knowledge of state and federal emissions regulations
