Role Description
We are hiring a Mission Critical Project Manager to take full ownership of project execution from preconstruction through closeout.
This is not a support role. You will be responsible for driving outcomes.
You will lead a team of Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers while working closely with Superintendents and field teams to execute complex, fast-paced projects. You are expected to build and lead your team, make decisions, and take full accountability for budget, schedule, and client relationships.
This role is best suited for someone who thrives in high-responsibility environments and is comfortable operating without constant oversight.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Full ownership of project financial performance, schedule, and execution
- Leading project teams (APMs and PEs) and driving accountability across all roles
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring performance in the field
- Driving schedules and proactively resolving delays and conflicts
- Leading communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Supporting preconstruction, estimating, and project planning
- Identifying risks early and implementing solutions before they impact the project
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of APMs and Project Engineers
- Delegate effectively while maintaining accountability for outcomes
- Set clear expectations and ensure team performance
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams
- Create structure and consistency across project execution
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor
- Experience managing commercial, industrial, or mission critical projects
- Experience leading and developing junior staff (APMs, PEs)
- Strong understanding of contracts, cost control, and scheduling
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions under pressure
- Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office
- Estimating or preconstruction experience is a plus
Compensation & Growth
- Salary range: $150,000 – $205,000 (based on experience)
