Role Description The Computer Aided Design (CAD) Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, TX. This position is responsible for creating accurate technical and engineering drawings for roof curbs and associated products using CAD software. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting specifications, collaborating with engineering and production teams, updating and revising drawings, and ensuring designs meet structural, safety, and manufacturing requirements. The CAD Drafter will maintain organized drawing files, support custom product modifications, and assist in optimizing designs for efficient fabrication. This role also involves reviewing drawings for quality and consistency before release to the shop floor.
Qualifications
- Strong technical drawing and general drawing skills, with the ability to produce precise and detailed plans.
- Experience creating engineering drawings and interpreting mechanical and structural specifications.
- Ability to develop and read architectural drawings related to roof curbs and building systems.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD or similar tools.
- Relevant technical education or certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
