What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Manager position at TecNiq Inc.?

TecNiq Inc is a high growth vehicle LED lighting manufacturer which produces hundreds of thousands of lamps each month. We have consistent growth and serve in the markets of: emergency vehicles, light and heavy duty trailers, work trucks, marine and agriculture. We are excited to bring on a Supply Chain Manager, in our Galesburg, state-of-the-art facility!
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Management of customer delivery performance. Evaluate customer delivery to manage appropriate and relevant organizational response. Develop and deliver a common customer scorecard to track performance and identify issues. Key Performance Indicators (KPI), quality, on time delivery, etc.
  • Operational excellence and end-to-end value stream mapping (VSM). Accountable for driving continuous improvement strategies/efforts for the customer service, warehousing and material scheduling departments to identify, implement and optimize product and process delivery performance for the departments.
  • Customer issue resolution. Serve as the customer/business advocate to address and solve problems. Customer service representatives will serve as the primary point of escalation for significant issues/concerns.
  • SIOP effectiveness. Ensure process effectiveness and continuous improvement for supply side alignment to demand. Identify key gaps and drive to resolution.
  • Strategic sourcing/proactive procurement/materials management. Responsible for locating and qualifying new/alternative sources of supply, to reduce supply chain risk, lower cost, inventory, and lead-time. Material planning, purchase order execution, supplier quality assurance communications and corresponding regulatory administration.
  • Scheduling/capacity management/production planning. Manage the assembly schedule on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including but not limited to: ordering, inventory including warehouse, stock levels, internal processes, etc.
  • Warehouse and logistics management and execution. Manage/execute the shipping, receiving and warehouse functions to support the business.
  • Analysis of supplier performance. Analysis of performance of key vendor delivery performance criteria, root cause analysis and development of corrective action plans.
  • Travel up to 10% of time.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Understanding of lean, integrated supply chain principles, and knowledge of Integrated Operations Systems or other process improvement systems.
  • Add value to the senior management team. Can approach business challenges from a macro and micro perspective to resolve strategic issues effectively.
  • Knowledge and ability to develop and interpret operating plans, budgets, capital plans and financial statements.
  • Strong understanding and experience in SIOP process.
  • Ability to lead change and establish operational metrics/key indicators for process control, communication, and performance improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and changing priorities; make sound decisions under pressure and work effectively in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. BS in Engineering or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Master’s Degree a plus as well as CPM, CPS, CPIM or equivalent certifications a plus.
  • 10 years of operations or supply chain management experience within a manufacturing organization is required.
  • Experience with international shipping and tariffs a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting a plus.
