System Administrator - Windows

Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows servers, user accounts, and system configurations.
- Oversee system backups, restoration procedures, and ensure business continuity.
- Monitor system performance, ensuring high availability and optimal functionality.
- Perform regular patch management and apply updates in accordance with cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
- Support disaster recovery (DR) processes, including readiness, testing, and documentation.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and comprehensive system documentation.
- Administer and troubleshoot VMWare environments, including provisioning and resource optimization.
- Manage, configure, and maintain IIS web servers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- All other duties assigned.

- Must demonstrate a respectful team member demeanor.
- Have the ability to brief complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, test, or evaluate systems.
Clearance:
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM program or IT. 4 years of direct relatable experience can substitute for a degree.
Location:
- Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland.
- Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Schedule flexing is available with the PM’s approval.
Travel:
- Travel requirements will fluctuate but are not expected to be over 15%
