We continue to expand our Department of Defense (DoD) and technology footprint by supporting hybrid and remote work environments, flexible schedules, and mission-focused innovation.The Senior Security Lead is a pivotal role supporting both internal and external customers, with primary responsibility for overseeing cybersecurity strategy, compliance, and risk management in support of program execution and long-term growth.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Security Lead provides senior-level security leadership and subject matter expertise across program activities.Serve as the lead authority for security strategy, planning, and execution for assigned programs.Oversee the implementation and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with DoD, government, and industry standards.Assess, manage, and communicate security risks across systems, facilities, personnel, and operations, recommending mitigation strategies to leadership.Lead security assessments, inspections, audits, and compliance activities for internal operations and external partner locations.Coordinate with government customers, program management, engineers, IT, and COMSEC personnel to ensure security requirements are integrated into program execution.Monitor and maintain security posture across information systems, networks, and operational environments.Support incident response, investigations, and corrective action planning when security issues arise.Prepare and deliver security briefings, reports, and debriefings to senior leadership and government stakeholders.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to security staff and cross-functional team members (may include task leadership without direct supervisory responsibility).Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, frameworks, and standards, including DoD and DISA security requirements.All other duties assigned. QualificationsSenior-level security professional with demonstrated leadership experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief senior government and contractor leadership.Proven ability to identify security risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.Experience developing and maintaining security documentation, policies, and procedures.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a high-security, mission-focused environment.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Preferred QualificationsCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)DoD contract experienceExperience supporting classified or high-security environmentsCOMSEC training and/or experienceCertified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)Military training or Veteran statusClearance: Active DoD TS/SCI clearance. Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Engineering or other closely related field. 8-12 years of cyber security experience. Location: Aberdeen, Maryland. Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Schedule flexing is available with the PM’s approval.
