Senior Salesforce Administrator

Techvera
Tulsa, OK Full Time
POSTED ON 8/10/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/9/2025

We are looking for an experienced, strategic, and solutions-oriented Senior Salesforce Administrator to serve as the technical steward and business enabler of our enterprise Salesforce platform. This position is far more than system maintenance — it is a leadership opportunity to shape the way our teams use technology to drive growth, streamline operations, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

As the Senior Salesforce Administrator, you will be responsible for the architecture, performance, user experience, and ongoing optimization of our Salesforce environment across multiple departments, including sales, marketing, customer success, finance, and operations. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, translate business needs into effective system capabilities, and continuously improve our CRM to ensure it scales with the growth and sophistication of our organization.

This role demands a mix of hands-on configuration skills, project management expertise, strategic vision, and a deep understanding of business processes. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and often serve as a bridge between technical teams and business leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Platform Strategy, Architecture & Innovation

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for all things Salesforce, guiding the organization on platform capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
  • Define and execute the long-term roadmap for Salesforce in partnership with executive leadership, aligning platform growth with broader business goals.
  • Act as the platform owner for Salesforce and related tools (e.g., Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, CPQ, Pardot, AppExchange apps, integrations).
  • Lead platform governance, ensuring consistent configuration standards, data integrity, scalability, and compliance across all Salesforce environments.
  • Evaluate and recommend third-party applications, add-ons, and integration strategies to extend the platform’s value and impact.

Administration, Configuration & Optimization

  • Own the day-to-day administration of Salesforce, including user and license management, permission sets, security policies, data model adjustments, and automation tools such as Flows, Process Builder, and Approval Processes.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain custom fields, objects, validation rules, formula fields, record types, page layouts, and Lightning components to support evolving business needs.
  • Continuously monitor system performance, identify areas for optimization, and proactively resolve technical or user-experience issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business units, understanding departmental objectives and translating them into actionable Salesforce capabilities.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions and business process reviews with stakeholders from Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, and Operations.
  • Design and execute Salesforce-related projects end-to-end, including scoping, solution design, stakeholder alignment, configuration, user acceptance testing (UAT), go-live support, and post-deployment enhancement cycles.
  • Partner with Salesforce developers and system integrators for more complex development efforts and API integrations.

Data, Reporting & Insights

  • Oversee data governance and quality initiatives, including deduplication, normalization, and system integrity checks.
  • Build and maintain highly functional dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision-making across departments.
  • Support advanced reporting needs through declarative tools and provide guidance on third-party BI/reporting platforms where necessary.

Training, Documentation & Support

  • Develop and deliver user training sessions, onboarding materials, SOPs, and self-service tools to drive platform adoption and proficiency.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for Salesforce-related questions, bugs, and enhancement requests — escalating to development or vendor support when appropriate.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by championing new features, staying abreast of Salesforce releases, and engaging with the Salesforce community.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Certifications

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM-201) required.
  • Advanced certifications strongly preferred (e.g., Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales/Service Cloud Consultant, CPQ Specialist).

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Salesforce administration.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a complex Salesforce org with custom objects, integrations, and business-critical workflows.
  • Proven track record of leading system enhancement projects, working with stakeholders across multiple departments, and driving measurable process improvements.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Deep knowledge of the Salesforce platform including Lightning Experience, declarative automation (Flows, Process Builder), permission and role hierarchies, and data model design.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce development lifecycle tools (e.g., Change Sets, Sandboxes, Git, VS Code).
  • Experience with tools such as Conga, DocuSign, HubSpot, NetSuite, Jira, Slack is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills — able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
