A Material Handler – Production/Sub-Assembly is responsible for safely removing, sorting, storing, and processing waste materials from production-manufacturing areas, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.

A Material Handler – Production/Sub-Assembly is responsible for safely removing, sorting, storing, and processing waste materials from production-manufacturing areas, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Transport waste (such as cardboard, used packaging materials, and trash) from manufacturing and rework areas to designated areas using a tugger, pallet jacks, hand trucks, utility tilt tracks and tow tractors.
- Inspect and maintain handling equipment, follow OSHA and safety protocols, and handle hazardous materials according to regulations.
- Maintain clean and orderly workspaces, assist with 5S initiatives, and perform general housekeeping tasks
- Other duties as assigned
- Prefer High School education or 2-3 years of experience working in manufacturing, production, or warehouse operations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of safety standards, quality control, and inventory management systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Standing/Walking for extended periods of time.
- Repetitive motion.
- Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of parts and containers.
- Frequent lifting up to 50lbs – team lifts over 50lbs.
- Able to work in various temperature conditions.
Internal Qualifications
- No final warnings
- No more than six attendance points
- Efficiency and Quality goals met for the previous 3 months.
- Must be in current role for 6 months.
- Must meet all job description requirements.
