Business Analyst

TechTalent Squared has been retained in search for a hard-working Business Analyst. This position is a long-term contract with possibility to convert to direct hire after 6-12 months and is 100% remote. The ideal Business Analyst will have strong mortgage and loan servicing experience and have demonstrated success managing multiple simultaneous projects in the mortgage industry and specifically in area of loan origination, servicing, systems, and customer satisfaction.

What you will be doing:

• Represent the company in a professional and enthusiastic manner by providing an exceptional level of customer service, adhering to our core values in all functions of job responsibilities, and interacting with internal and external customers.
• Deliver presentations, both verbally and written to various groups on changes in current business process including the securitization process.
• Assist with all testing of product upgrades, enhancements, and fixes.
• Conduct process improvement sessions with servicing staff members.
• Assist with systems training sessions (i.e., system upgrades) for all servicing associates.
• Document the analysis and proposed implementation in the form of functional specifications.
• Produce ad hoc reports; Customized reports are created for investors and senior management to clearly identify exceptions and areas of risk.
• Document and communicate, to management, business issues as related to development and implementation of new/enhanced systems and processes.
• Recommend test planning and perform functional walkthrough.
• Manage multiple projects and work independently under limited supervision.
• Provide technical compliance and industry level expertise.

What we are looking for:

• Excellent Mortgage domain skills (wholesale), very familiar with mortgage loan originations systems such as BlueSage, Encompass, etc.
• Excellent level of attention to detail and ability to work within time constraints.
• Intermediate level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent analytic and technical skills.
• Excellent computer skills using spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software (Excel, Word, MS Project, Crystal, and Access).
• Ability to analyze and resolve routine problems within estimated time frames.
• Ability to work overtime as required by the department manager based on the work requirements.

What experience you need:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience
• Five years of related experience required
• Experience in functions described for this position
• Three years recent mortgage industry experience required
