Position: Systems Engineer

Note
Will support three logistics software products on Windows, Linux, and Ubuntu.
Role involves Level 4 troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and coordination with network/server teams.
Requires expertise in Linux/Unix, Windows OS, networking stack, and Wi-Fi; application training provided.
Industry experience not required—strong technical skills are essential.
Description:
This will include assisting local teams with implementing several different robotics technologies and building standard process documentation and procedures.
Owning, maintaining, and providing integration of the autonomous vehicle products into existing IT infrastructure; establishing communication between COTS products and internal systems.
This role includes level 1 support, assisting IT teams in being able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with robot deployments both at the networking and infrastructure layers.
What you’ll be doing:
Sit in on Solution Architecture Design (SAD) meetings and assist with facilitating design and build for all pre-requisites, hardware, software, networking, file share, communication protocols to allow for manufacturing robots to integrate with line-side manufacturing systems and data center assets and cloud platform.
Commissioning & integration of autonomous vehicle systems at manufacturing facilities throughout North America.
Coordinate with enterprise networking and WINTEL / server administrators’ group to identify root cause and deploy countermeasures.
Support for Windows Server 2022, Ubuntu 24/25.x, RHEL 10.x.
Managing tier 3 escalations from the implementation and support teams focusing on Robotics or industrial automation experience, including familiarity with PLCs, industrial robotics and industrial communication protocols.
Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) – Highlight Top 3-5 skills:
5 years of overall experience with networking and OS/Linux.
Experience in the Automation industry as an Engineer, Technologist and/or project manager, technically delivering on projects is an asset.
Hands on experience with Linux, Docker, and Bash.
Proficient understanding of the OSI layer, TCP/IP protocols and their use-cases.
Proficient in navigating IT interoperability issues and driving them to resolution.
Hands on Experience with Windows Server 2022, Ubuntu 24/25.x, RHEL 10.x.
Experience with virtual infrastructure such as VMware vSphere technologies.
Added bonus if you have (Preferred):
Experience with a minimum of two platforms: PLCs (Allen Bradley, Toyopuc, Omron), HMI Programming (Factory Talk, Screenworks), autonomous vehicle Technologies (MIR, Autoguide, Omron, JBT, Creform, OTTO).
Experience with Toyopuc is an asset.
Knowledgeable regarding automotive industry or manufacturing processes.
