Position: Senior Test Manager/Business Analysis/Project Manger
Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months contract
Project Details & day to day in this position:
- Test / load and failover, VR. Technical recourse, topics, infrastructure, tech performance, PM – technical PM.
- Coordinating activities with tech resources.
- Managing people and projects.
Team and Ideal Candidate Description:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in software testing, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing effective testing strategies, including experience with various testing methodologies (e.g., unit testing, integration testing, system testing, performance testing).
• Proficient in the use of testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Postman, Loadrunner, xRay).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in managing and mentoring a team of test engineers, including performance management and professional development.
• Knowledge of agile software development methodologies and their impact on testing processes.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle models and project management practices.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects.
Required Skill Set (Technical Soft Skills)
- Proven track record in planning, executing, and managing complex testing and defect management initiatives
- Hands-on experience in delivery and test management tools such as JIRA, X-ray and Confluence.
- Solid understanding of project management principles, including issue, risk, and dependency management, to facilitate seamless integration of testing efforts across teams.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between internal and external testing efforts.
- Exceptional ability to structure, illustrate, and communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, ensuring understanding and actionable insights.
- Demonstrated adaptability and problem-solving skills to navigate challenges and uncertainties in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong prioritization and time management skills to balance multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices, with the ability to adapt and implement Agile principles in testing and delivery processes.
Nice To Have Skill Set (Technical Soft Skills)
- Experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master or in managing Scrum teams.
- Experience with stress, load and performance testing, including related execution and monitoring toolsets
- Advanced skills in JIRA and Confluence, including the ability to create and manage dashboards, workflows, and documentation.
- Hands-on experience in test automation development; Familiarity with automation frameworks and tools.
