CNC Machinist/Programmer III to join our growing manufacturing team. This senior-level position is responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and optimizing CNC machining centers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong programming skills, extensive setup experience, and the ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues while mentoring less experienced machinists.
Essential Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software and machine controls.
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes with minimal supervision.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, engineering drawings, and CAD model.
- Perform first article inspections and verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring equipment.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and quality issues to maximize efficiency.
- Optimize cycle times while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Recommend process improvements that reduce cost and improve throughput.
- Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and preventive maintenance.
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality to resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Train and mentor junior machinists and setup personnel.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical or vocational machining education preferred.
6 years of CNC programming experience.
Strong experience with CNC mills and/or CNC lathes.
Proficient with CAD/CAM and SolidWorks software or similar.
Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Mazak, Mitsubishi, or similar controls.
Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
Experience machining tight tolerance precision components.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
