What are the responsibilities and job description for the Calibration Technician position at TECHSTAFF of AZ?
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on Calibration / Test Technician to join a manufacturing team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys testing, measuring, troubleshooting, and working with mechanical and electronic equipment. You don’t necessarily need experience with the specific equipment we build. We’re looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, good attention to detail, and the ability to learn calibration processes and equipment.
What you’ll be doing:
• Perform calibration and testing of precision equipment using various calibration systems
• Use CalWare and computerized calibration equipment
• Perform pressure testing and other equipment testing procedures
• Record and document test and calibration results accurately
• Assemble, adjust, and prepare components for testing
• Troubleshoot issues and identify potential problems during testing or calibration
• Work with small parts and components requiring good manual dexterity
• Use hand and power tools
• Perform cleaning, laser etching, and other preparation processes
• Install lock wires on mechanical and electronic components
• Maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S practices
• Follow established quality and safety procedures
What we’re looking for:

✔️ Comfortable working with measuring, testing, or calibration equipment
✔️ Ability to follow detailed procedures and accurately document results
✔️ Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electronic components
✔️ Experience using hand and power tools
✔️ Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
✔️ Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
✔️ Flow meter experience is a huge plus!
✔️ High school diploma or equivalent
✔️ 1–3 years of manufacturing, testing, calibration, instrumentation, or related experience preferred
An A.S. in Mechanical or Electronics Technology is a plus.
