The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing inbound and outbound freight. This includes unloading deliveries, checking shipment contents against purchase orders, documenting discrepancies, organizing and storing materials, preparing items for shipment, creating bills of lading and shipping labels, and maintaining accurate inventory logs. The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, safe material‑handling practices, and the ability to communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal departments. Knowledge of Fishbowl is a plus.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Verify shipments — Check incoming freight against manifests, invoices, or purchase orders.
- Inspect deliveries — Document damage or discrepancies before acceptance.
- Prepare outbound orders — Pack, label, weigh, create shipping documents, assemble crates.
- Coordinate carriers — Arrange pickups, track shipments, and resolve routing issues.
- Operate equipment — Use pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners when required.

- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
