We are seeking a hands-on EHS professional to lead Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role will own safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and support facility operations, including maintenance coordination and workplace safety. The individual will serve as the primary onsite safety resource, partnering with leadership to promote a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Own, develop, and manage all EHS programs across the facility
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Lead internal and external audits, including preparation and follow-ups
- Investigate incidents, injuries, and near-misses; implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation
Training & Culture
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and leadership
- Conduct new hire safety orientations and ongoing training sessions
- Coach supervisors and staff on safe work practices
- Drive a proactive and accountable safety culture across the facility
Operations & Facility Support
- Partner with operations and maintenance teams to ensure a safe work environment
- Support preventive maintenance planning and coordination
- Assist with basic equipment troubleshooting when needed
- Oversee general facility upkeep (lighting, HVAC coordination, safety conditions)
- Ensure proper inspection and operation of safety systems (fire protection, etc.)
Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Track and analyze safety metrics (TRIR, DART, etc.)
- Identify trends and implement proactive safety initiatives
- Recommend improvements to safety programs and operational processes
- Drive initiatives to reduce incidents and enhance workplace safety
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards
- Experience owning or leading safety programs end-to-end
- Proven experience in incident investigation and corrective action planning
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- CSP, ASP, or similar certifications preferred
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Experience in large-scale or complex operational environments
Work Environment
- Combination of office and hands-on warehouse floor work
- Exposure to machinery, equipment, and industrial conditions
- May require standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
