Journeyman Tool and Die Maker

Role Description

Looking for a Journeyman Tool and Die maker or someone with that type experience but maybe not a Journeyman card to work in our stamping tool room focusing on die maintenance and change overs. Larger tools and presses (up to 1600 tons). There will be new die builds as well as welding fixtures to be made. Modern tool room with various CNC machines but also some old-style equipment as well. Pay will reflect your ability.

Qualifications

• Experience with tool and die making, including constructing, repairing, and maintaining dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and plans
• Skilled in operating various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and welding equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
• High attention to detail and quality in workmanship
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to adhering to safety and quality standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
