The Job: Client is looking for an experienced AWS Solution Architect with strong hands-on expertise in cloud migration, Terraform-based IaC, and enterprise-scale cloud architecture. The ideal candidate will design end-to-end cloud solutions, lead migration programs, modernize workloads, and ensure secure, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud deployments.
Responsibilities, Skills, and Experience:
- Lead end-to-end migration initiatives including rehost (lift & shift), replatform, and refactor strategies.
- Hands-on experience with migration tools such as:
- AWS Application Migration Service (MGN)
- AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)
- AWS Snowball / DataSync
- Perform migration wave planning, cutover, testing, and post-migration validation.
- Infrastructure as Code – Terraform
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules, reusable templates, and version-controlled infrastructure.
- Automate provisioning of AWS services—VPC, EC2, RDS, EKS, Lambda, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, etc.
- Implement Terraform best practices, state management, workspaces, and CI/CD integration.
- Cloud Architecture & Solution Design
- Architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions on AWS.
- Design end-to-end architectures for applications, databases, and infrastructure migration.
- Develop high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD) for cloud workloads.
- Evaluate existing on-premises environments and provide cloud suitability assessments.
Certification / Qualitifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional (preferred)
- AWS SysOps Administrator or DevOps Engineer Certification
- HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate
- ITIL Foundation (good to have)
