Type: Contract to Hire (only US Citizen and Green Card Holder)
NON-NEGOTIABLE MUST-HAVES
- Hands-on Fortinet Secure SD-WAN ownership
- Candidate must have designed and owned Fortinet SD-WAN (not support-only or firewall-only).
- Strong core networking fundamentals
- Proven experience designing WAN routing using BGP and OSPF in enterprise environments.
- Enterprise-scale SD-WAN deployments
- Experience delivering Fortinet SD-WAN across multiple sites (hub-and-spoke or hybrid WAN).
Role Overview
We are looking for a senior, hands-on Fortinet Secure SD-WAN Architect/Engineer to design, own, and deliver enterprise-scale WAN and SD-WAN solutions. This role is design- and architecture-focused, not firewall-only or NOC support. The ideal candidate has deep Fortinet SD-WAN experience and strong core networking fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end design and architecture of Fortinet Secure SD-WAN solutions
- Design and implement hub-and-spoke and hybrid WAN architectures
- Lead SD-WAN migrations from legacy WAN or Cisco environments to Fortinet
- Design and deploy ADVPN, business-intent policies, and traffic steering
- Configure and manage FortiGate SD-WAN, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer
- Design WAN routing using BGP and OSPF (MPLS, DIA, LTE/5G)
- Support enterprise-scale, multi-site deployments
- Provide technical leadership and guidance during rollout and optimization
- Document designs and clearly explain architecture decisions
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong, hands-on experience with Fortinet Secure SD-WAN
- Proven ownership of SD-WAN design and architecture (not just support)
- Deep experience with:
- FortiGate SD-WAN
- FortiManager
- FortiAnalyzer
- ADVPN
- Strong networking fundamentals:
- BGP, OSPF
- MPLS, DIA, hybrid WAN
- Experience with large, enterprise WAN environments
- Ability to explain why design decisions were made
