Agile Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Agile Business Analyst / Product Analyst to work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, development teams, and QA teams to gather business requirements, define product features, and support the delivery of technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills, along with experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to understand business needs and objectives.
• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, business process flows, and functional specifications.
• Maintain and prioritize product backlogs in collaboration with Product Owners.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Translate business requirements into actionable tasks for development and QA teams.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution.
• Track requirements, dependencies, and deliverables using Agile project management tools.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet business objectives and acceptance criteria.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Agile Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum, and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting QA teams, UAT, and requirements traceability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Product Owners and cross-functional Agile teams.
• Familiarity with product roadmaps, backlog refinement, and feature prioritization.
• Knowledge of SQL, data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence tools.
• Experience with process modeling tools and workflow documentation.
• Experience in a specific industry, such as healthcare, banking, insurance, or financial services.
