Senior QA Automation Engineer (Database Testing) – Contract

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

A Texas-based organization is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to support the testing and quality assurance of database applications and data-driven systems. This role will be responsible for designing and executing automated test strategies, developing database testing scripts, validating data integrity, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test plans and test cases for database applications
• Create automated testing scripts and execution frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing
• Prioritize test scenarios and develop testing strategies to support project objectives
• Prepare and maintain test environments and testing documentation
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution
• Validate data integrity, consistency, and quality across database environments
• Collaborate with development, database administration, and business teams to resolve issues and improve solution quality
• Monitor database performance and provide recommendations for optimization
• Participate in testing activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Work with stakeholders to gather testing requirements and define success criteria

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of experience designing and developing automated testing solutions for database applications
• 8 years of experience creating automated test scripts, execution plans, and testing frameworks
• 8 years of experience developing test plans, test cases, and test environments
• 8 years of experience performing functional, application, and regression testing
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience interpreting business and technical requirements and translating them into effective testing strategies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise database testing and data validation
• Familiarity with project delivery frameworks and structured software development methodologies
• Understanding of enterprise architecture, information management, and software infrastructure concepts
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications
• Experience working within Agile development environments

Salary : $48 - $52
