Senior Software Engineer

This is a data-centric role focused on moving and transforming critical financial data from legacy IBM (AS400) environments into modern platforms. You’ll play a key role in ETL development, integration, and ensuring data accuracy across systems.
What You’ll Do
- Lead data conversion and migration efforts across lending and financial systems
- Extract data from legacy platforms (AS400/DB2), stage, transform, and load into target systems
- Design, build, and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes
- Develop C# applications/services to support data integration and automation
- Integrate systems using SOAP and REST web services (WCF and modern APIs)
- Validate and reconcile data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to map complex data structures
- Troubleshoot and optimize ETL workflows and data pipelines
What You Bring (Must-Have)
- Strong hands-on experience with SSIS, C#, and SQL Server
- Experience with IBM i (AS400), DB2, or RPG environments
- Proven background in data migration, ETL, or large-scale data conversion projects
- Strong SQL skills (queries, stored procedures, data analysis)
- Experience working with web services (SOAP/REST, WCF)
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
- Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and business stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Background in financial services, lending, or banking systems
- Familiarity with ADO.NET, LINQ to SQL, or similar data access layers
- Experience supporting modernization or legacy system transformation efforts
