What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Analyst (Exempt) position at Technology Department?
JOB DESCRIPTION: To ensure that the district network operates at optimal performance.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s Degree, technical school, or four years or more experience in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting; working knowledge of Macintosh OS and Microsoft server/client software; able to lift 50 to 75 pounds. CCNA or equivalent required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the analyzation, configuration, maintenance, management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical support of networking equipment.
- Make recommendations for improvements to District systems and practices.
- Oversee the management and monitor of the firewall, filtering, antivirus, and Wi-Fi services.
- Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of District VOIP systems as needed.
- Oversee the management, installation, configuration, and limited maintenance of network printers.
- Support the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of client operating systems.
- Serve as a public relations liaison in answering telephones and assisting personnel who desire information and/or services.
- Maintain a high level of communication with District personnel with respect to scheduling, progress, and completion of projects.
- Manage priorities with respect to support calls, trouble tickets, and schedule repairs and maintenance to ensure timely completion of the project.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS).
- Provides emergency assistance as required to maintain district technology services.
- Acquire and maintain any certifications necessary to perform assigned duties.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
SALARY: Twelve-month position, beginning salary Level 39, employee benefits in accordance with Board policies. This position is considered EXEMPT from the requirements of hourly employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
EVALUATION: Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy on the evaluation of support personnel.
Salary : $63,914 - $89,241
