What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security and Fire Alarm Technician position at Technology By Design?
Technology by Design has an immediate opening for an Installation Professional to join our team as a Security/Fire Alarm and Surveillance Systems Technician.
The Security and Fire Alarm Technician’s primary job functions are to wire, install, and service both residential and commercial security & fire systems.

- Must be able to climb ladders & work at heights
- Lift & carry 50 lbs minimum
- Must be able to navigate attics and crawl spaces
Qualifications:
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license (Required)
- Have and maintain a clean driving record (Required)
- Able to pass background checks upon employment offer (Required)
- US work authorization (Required)
- Experience in installation/programming – ex. construction worker, electrician or other technical role (Preferred but not required) – we are willing to train the right individual for the position!
- Low Voltage Troubleshooting Skills(Preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
