- Role: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
- Experience: 6-9 Years
- Work Location: Phoenix, AZ
- Project Duration: 12 Month Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, integrate, and support cloud and on-prem infrastructure platforms
- Maintain a reliable, secure, and highly available 24x7 production environment
- Support multi-tenant, scale-out applications across development, test, and production
- Develop tools and capabilities to enable continuous delivery, automation, and self-service provisioning
- Lead and support infrastructure enhancements focused on scalability, performance, availability, and efficiency
- Support and maintain production-grade platforms such as Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and similar technologies
- Deploy and manage COTS applications in Kubernetes-based environments (OpenShift, GKE)
- Support infrastructure migrations across on-prem, public cloud, and hybrid environments
- Perform cluster management, upgrades, configurations, and migrations on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform tuning and patching activities
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes, including root cause analysis
- Collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective infrastructure services
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 7 years of overall industry experience, with 5 years in infrastructure or cloud engineering roles
- 5 years of hands-on Unix/Linux system administration experience in production environments
- 3 years of experience supporting production-grade platforms such as:
- Redis (Enterprise)
- Kafka
- Elasticsearch
- Similar distributed or big data technologies
- 2 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or equivalent)
- 2 years of experience supporting Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:
- Core cloud foundations
- Managed services (e.g., Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Memorystore, Private Service Connect, Interconnect)
- 2 years of experience deploying and supporting COTS applications in Kubernetes environments (OpenShift, GKE)
- Experience with automation and scripting using Ansible, shell scripting, Python, Java, or similar tools
- Strong experience with Linux performance monitoring, security configuration, troubleshooting, and tuning
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading large-scale infrastructure migration programs
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures
- Experience automating infrastructure operations to improve efficiency and reliability
- Working knowledge of enterprise monitoring and observability tools
- Experience optimizing troubleshooting and debugging across infrastructure and application layers
- Experience working within ITIL-based processes, including incident, problem, and change management
- Strong metrics management and reporting experience
