Duties and Responsibilities:
• Architect, design, and document scalable and secure enterprise solutions across a suite of CLIENT
applications.
• Provide hands-on support and development assistance for applications including but not limited to:
o Maryland Automated Guidelines System (MAGS)
o Expungement Tracking System (ETS)
o National Data Exchange System (NDEX)
o Inmate Locator
o DPP Online Training Program
o Asset Tracking System (ATS)
o Single Sign-On (SSO) Application Portal
o Offender Watch Sex Offender Registry
o DP Alert System
o Mid-Atlantic Regional Information Sharing System (MARIS)
• Assist in building, configuring, and deploying IIS web servers for production and development environments.
• Design and implement SSO (Single Sign-On) across internal application suites using Okta and SAML,
including integration with the CLIENT Content Management System (CMS).
• Lead the modernization of legacy applications through cloud-native architecture and containerization
strategies where appropriate.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, security teams, and database administrators to ensure
compliance, performance, and reliability across systems.
• Analyze existing systems to identify and resolve architecture, performance, or security issues.
• Maintain documentation and ensure solutions align with enterprise IT and cybersecurity standards
Required Skills/Certifications:
• TOGAF® (The Open Group Architecture Framework) – Enterprise Architecture
• Certified Information Systems Architect (CISA) or CITA-Professional (IASA Global)
• One or more Cloud Architecture Certifications, such as:
o AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
o Google Professional Cloud Architec

Preferred Skills & Attributes:
• Deep understanding of criminal justice and public safety systems, including integrations with federal (e.g.,
FBI/NDEX) and state-level law enforcement systems.
• Experience in government or regulated environments with complex compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to nontechnical audiences.
• Ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior developers and engineers.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a strong analytical mind
