Role Overview The Cyber Remediation Program Lead is responsible for driving and executing cyber remediation initiatives across the organization. This role provides leadership across multiple workstreams, ensuring timely delivery of remediation efforts while maintaining strong coordination with cross-functional stakeholders. The individual will act as a visible and proactive leader within the Cyber Remediation program, fostering accountability, ensuring alignment with business priorities, and enabling successful execution of program objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Execution & Enablement
• Lead cyber remediation projects and initiatives as directed by the Program Lead, ensuring adherence to defined scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including: o Status trackers o Dependency logs o Milestone tracking
• Define and clearly communicate project scope, objectives, and success criteria aligned with organizational priorities.
• Support the creation and maintenance of program artifacts such as: o Executive reports o Decision logs o Risk registers
• Ensure transparency and continuity across all program activities.
2. Documentation & Process Development
• Assess existing program documentation and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Design and implement standardized documentation practices to enable scalable and repeatable program operations.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and accessibility of all program materials.
3. Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
• Provide structured and timely updates on: o Project health o Risks and issues o Key achievements
• Utilize program-approved templates and established reporting cadences.
• Engage and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders including: o Business teams o IT teams o Security teams
• Ensure documentation and testing activities accurately reflect: o System dependencies o Recovery expectations
• Drive stakeholder alignment and accountability across all remediation efforts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 10 years of proven experience in program or project management, preferably in cybersecurity or IT remediation environments.
• 5 years of strong understanding of cyber risk, remediation processes, and enterprise security frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• 3 to 5 years of proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, ServiceNow, or similar).
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in cyber remediation, incident response, or IT risk management programs.
• Familiarity with regulatory or compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.
