Role Overview
We are seeking a Techno-Functional FX Trading Consultant with strong Java expertise to support front-to-back transformation initiatives in foreign exchange (FX) trading and capital markets.
This role blends business consulting, trading domain knowledge, and hands-on development, focusing on implementing and enhancing FX trading platforms, pricing engines, and trade lifecycle systems.
Key Responsibilities
FX Trading & Functional Consulting
- Work closely with FX trading desks, sales, and treasury teams to understand trading workflows and requirements
- Analyze and optimize the trade lifecycle (pricing → execution → confirmation → settlement)
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and system designs
- Support FX products including spot, forwards, swaps, and NDFs
Java Development & System Integration
- Design and develop Java-based applications for FX trading, pricing, and risk systems
- Build and enhance low-latency, high-performance trading components
- Develop REST APIs / microservices for trade processing and integration
- Integrate trading platforms (e.g., Murex, Calypso, FXall, 360T) with internal systems
- Work with messaging frameworks (Kafka, JMS) for real-time trade flows
Data & Architecture
- Handle real-time market data feeds and pricing logic
- Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) for trade storage and reporting
- Contribute to system architecture, scalability, and performance tuning
- Ensure high availability and resiliency of trading systems
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a bridge between business users (traders) and technology teams
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (scrum, sprint planning, backlog grooming)
- Provide production support and resolve trading-related issues

Education
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or related field
