About the role

Techno is seeking a Site Safety Specialist to support program delivery by managing and monitoring safety on construction sites. The role involves coordinating with the PA OCIP safety representatives, reviewing contractor-submitted health and safety plans, and collaborating with PA Operations and field inspectors to ensure safety compliance on a daily and periodic basis.

What you'll do

• Conduct daily and/or periodic on-site safety reviews at construction sites in NY and NJ.
• Deliver management oversight and OSHA safety training for staff.
• Supervise Safety Inspectors reporting to facility Resident Engineers and Engineers of Construction.
• Travel between multiple facilities or remain stationed at a single site, as required.
• Perform periodic night and weekend work.
• Review and ensure compliance with safety plans.
• Conduct construction site safety audits for projects involving rail, marine, bridge, tunnel, and Air Operations Area (AOA) work.
• Audit facility operations that interface with construction to ensure safe practices.
• Confirm OSHA compliance for staff and site safety.
• Monitor Confined Space Entry activities.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training and valid NYC DOB 4-Hr Supported Scaffold User card.
• The ability to get, SIDA Background Check at High Level and Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) security ID.
• When necessary, work night shift and weekend shift for safety compliance.
• Interface cohesively with all other safety personnel.
• 1Provide management of administration of and reporting of all activities.
• Valid driver’s license and 4x4 automobile are required.

The expected salary range for this role in the New York City Metropolitan Area is $44.23 - $68.64 per hour. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process
