Job Description
TechniQuest Corporation is hiring a Senior Traffic Safety Engineer to support our Traffic Engineering Group, which functions from our Princeton (New Jersey) Office. The engineer will be required to support Safety Projects and Programs as staff augmentation. This requires the selected candidate to physically report to client offices.
Responsibilities
- The engineer will assist the clients in updating and streamlining safety programs and project portfolios
- The engineer will provide technical support to the client on a task-level basis
- Review and assist Subject Matter Expert (SME) safety evaluation of projects
- Complete safety reviews, such as complete streets review and evaluating pedestrian/bicycle safety needs.
- Conduct and review crash analyses data driven safety analyses in line with project needs and Safe System Approach (SSA) using available tools.
- Conduct and review HSM or other types of crash analyses, when assigned
- Conduct field reviews, when assigned
- Conduct Road Safety Audits (RSA), when assigned
- Assist in the implementation of Highway Safety Improvements
Requirements
- Knowledge of MUTCD, AASHTO and NACTO Engineering Guidelines
- Experience with HSM Analyses preferred
- A bachelor’s degree in CE or related field required
- A minimum 7 years of design experience in the transportation safety field
- Familiarity with NJDOT Standards and Project Delivery Guidelines standards preferred
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification preferred
- Local project experience/knowledge is preferred

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
