Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and to make decisions with respect to acceptability of production parts.
- Assist CMM Technician with dimensional layouts when needed.
- Assist in resolution of problems and responding to customer and supplier needs.
- Assist with capability studies and statistical process control.
- Assure dimensional, gauge repeatability and reproducibility studies are in the production part approval process submissions.
- Coordinate the performance of the calibration and verification of the measuring devices
- Interprets engineering drawings.
- Maintain the necessary gauges, tools, meters, instruments, and equipment in the calibration system along with all records required.
- Working knowledge of all dimensional metrology and equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure proper quality of work and efficiency.
- Travel is not likely or 0%.
- Training needs are based on Techniplas’ ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 training matrix for this position.
- Other duties as assigned according to the job classification and overtime may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiar with Scan Faro Arm / Hexagon
- Experience with Polyworks.
