SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Accounting Intern will support the accounting team with general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and the monthly close process. The Accounting Intern will provide hands-on experience in accounting and financial reporting for manufacturing facilities.
JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with general ledger maintenance, including preparing and posting journal entries
- Support monthly and quarterly year-end close processes
- Help prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
- Assist in maintaining accurate accounting records and documentation
- Serve as a partner to the accounting team in developing and following processes and procedures
- Maintain organized financial documentation and electronic filing systems
- Help prepare documentation for audits or internal reviews
- Compile financial data for management reports
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably focused on Accounting or Finance
- An energetic team player who enjoys working collaboratively
- A self-motivated individual who is competitive yet open to learning and feedback
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication abilities
- High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data organization
