Position Summary
The Payroll & Benefits Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and the administration of employee benefit programs. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and company policies while providing excellent support to employees regarding payroll, benefits, and related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
· Process weekly and/or bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
· Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefits.
· Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
· Audit payroll data including timekeeping, attendance, and employee changes.
· Prepare payroll reports for management and accounting.
· Coordinate payroll tax filings and ensure timely remittance.
· Assist with year-end processing including W-2 preparation.
Benefits Administration
· Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
· Manage employee enrollments, changes, and terminations in benefit systems.
· Coordinate annual open enrollment and employee communication.
· Work with benefit providers to resolve employee issues or discrepancies.
· Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
· Support leave administration including FMLA and other employee leave programs.
Compliance & Reporting
· Ensure compliance with payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
· Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll and benefits.
· Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
· Stay updated on payroll and benefits regulations.
Employee Support
· Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll and benefits questions.
· Provide clear and professional communication regarding policies and procedures.
· Assist HR with onboarding processes related to payroll and benefits enrollment.

Qualifications:Qualifications
· Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
· 3–5 years of payroll and benefits administration experience preferred.
· Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
· Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, taxes, and benefit administration.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
Preferred Skills
· Experience in a manufacturing or multi-shift environment.
· Knowledge of payroll systems such as Paycom or similar platforms.
· Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or related certification is a plu
